Fever Moon is an alternative punk band based in Tokyo, Japan, led by songwriter and frontman Jay Holmes. Blending raw melodic intensity with gritty, emotionally driven songwriting, Fever Moon draws influence from bands like Dinosaur Jr., Jawbreaker, and Leatherface, channeling distorted guitars, restless energy, and an unfiltered DIY spirit.
Fever Moon’s album Back to the Whip was developed in collaboration with Left of Center Music, with Jay Holmes bringing the project forward during its final production phase. Featuring contributions from notable players including Mike Watt (fIREHOSE, The Stooges), the album underwent focused refinement through pre-production editing to strengthen overall cohesion and impact. In addition to production support, Mike Ulliman provided lead guitar performances across multiple tracks, helping elevate the arrangements and sharpen the album’s melodic direction. The result is a more focused, powerful record that preserves the band’s raw energy while enhancing clarity, momentum, and feel.
